Who we are
MaxZit is an IT company from Serbia. We work with servers, virtualization, networks and backups — and out of that experience came BackupZit, backup software we built because we wanted a tool we trust ourselves.
Today we provide IT services to businesses and develop *Zit products. The two complement each other: what we learn at our customers goes into the software, and we test the software on the same platforms we maintain.
What matters to us
Security
Everything we do starts with “what if something goes wrong?” — from least privilege to tested backups.
Openness
Our software is open source, and we leave the documentation and all credentials with our customers. No lock-in.
Privacy
Neither our website nor our software tracks anyone. Your data stays on your systems.
Honesty
We will also tell you when you do not need something. Better a smaller job done right than a big one that does not help you.
Free software, paid support
Our products are free and open source, like Proxmox. Businesses that want peace of mind can buy commercial support — that funds further development, and the software stays available to everyone.
